EA Sports is bringing back its college football game.

EA Sports is returning to college football. The video game maker said on Tuesday it was developing a new version of the hit title, taking to Twitter to break the news.

Details on the new game, including what platforms it will head to and when it might arrive, were not immediately available. The game will be called EA Sports College Football.

In a press release, the company said it would be “the exclusive developer of college football video game simulation experiences,” through an agreement with college brand licensing company CLC. EA says development for the title is “just underway”, adding that “when to launch” will be revealed as “the project progresses in the years to come.”

The new title would be EA’s first college football game since NCAA Football 2014, released in July 2013. The company announced in September 2013 that that would stop making the title after settling a class action lawsuit brought by former college athletes for the use of their image in video games. Although EA Sports did not use any real names in the game, virtual players shared a likeness to their real counterparts without permission from the real players and without EA providing compensation.

As part of the deal with CLC, EA says it will be able to showcase “over 100 institutions,” including their logos, stadiums, uniforms and match day traditions in the new game. not, at least initially, include any student-athlete “names, pictures and similarities”, although the company says it “continues to monitor these developments closely.”

Despite the lack of some key details, the game already looks set to tap into the strong following created by the NCAA Football franchise. The announcement tweet was retweeted more than 50,000 times in less than 20 minutes, with the NCAA quickly rising to the top of Twitter’s hot topics page.
